SK Group Acquires 16.3% Stake in VinCommerce (2021.04)

SK Group, Korea’s third-largest conglomerate in South Korea, has acquired a 16.3% stake in VinCommerce for around $410M USD. As a distribution subsidiary of one of Vietnam’s leading food and beverage companies, VinCommerce will allow SK to invest directly into Vietnam’s general consumer goods sector. Apart from investment into VinCommerce, SK has been expanding its business in Vietnam by acquiring stakes in other major Vietnamese companies as well such as Vingroup, Imexpharm, and Masan Group.
