E-Mart Inc Acquires eBay Inc’s South Korean Business for $3B (2021.06)

Emart Inc, South Korea’s largest grocery chain operator, has acquired 80.01% stake in eBay Inc’s South Korean business for around $3B USD. While Emart has been struggling to compete in the e-commerce market, the acquisition will allow Emart to become one of top-three market share leaders within South Korea's e-commerce sector.
